The Trans illumination technology is being used for various diagnostic applications such as Hydrocele, Hydrocephalus, Pneumococcal, Dentistry etc. VeinHunterTM produce a ring of bright light which is directed down to the center of the ring which is focused on the skin. When a VeinHunterTM is placed on the skin, the light uniformly illuminates the superficial tissues inside the ring. De-oxygenated blood in veins absorbs the light so veins show as dark lines within the illuminated area.
